Tool Grinder

Full Time Position

Cashco, Inc. presently has one day shift position open for a Tool Grinder.

This position is responsible for renewing semi-perishable cutting tools and making modifications to the same. This individual fills in for the Tool Crib attendant and maintains the security and integrity of our tooling inventory and miscellaneous perishables used in manufacture of the product. Using our computerized inventory system they maintain the level of inventory, the location and collect data that helps management to control costs and make sure we have the tools available as necessary.

Responsibilities:
• Renew cutting edges on semi-perishable tools to extend useable life
• Modify cutting tools when standard tools cannot perform required tasks
• Evaluate tools for wear. Decide to repair or replace
• Filling in for Tool Crib Attendant. Control inventory in their absence
• Preventative maintenance on grinders and equipment in tool grinding area
• General housekeeping, sweeping the floor and wiping down machines.
Requirements:
• High school or equivalent
• Average or better math skills is required
• Two years of machining experience or one year tool grinding experience
• Blueprint reading and precision measuring equipment skillset
• Attention to detail
• Physical strength, stamina, and dexterity
• Time management skills to ensure tasks are completed on schedule
• Collaboration and teamwork
• Strong English Written and Verbal Communication Skills
