Features

• Easy Inspection: The Model 3400 is light weight for easy handling, inspection and maintenance. Coarse mesh screen prevents entry of foreign matter into seating area.
• Maintains Accurate Settings: The minimum setting available is down to 0.25 oz/in2. Maximum pressure setting 2" - 12" upwards to 2 psig, for 16" - 24" upwards to .5 psig. See Vent Weight Table. • Air-Cushioned Seating: Vent pallet assembly incorporates a flat, smooth film of FEP Teflon to form a floating air seal. All units are tested to Valve Concepts, Inc. high standards to insure low leakage rates.Seat leakage meets or exceeds API Standard 2000. As with all vents supplied by Valve Concepts, Inc. a certified test report is provided.

Technique

Weight loaded pallets in the vent housing allow the intake of air and the escape of vapors as the tank breathes due to thermal changes and product movement in and out of the tank. The pallets open and close to permit in breathing and out breathing necessary to maintain the tank pressure within permissible limits to avoid damage to the tank.
