The golf course has a new place to gather and unwind, thanks to a collaborative effort by members of the Thursday Night Men's League, donors and local supporters like Cashco.
A fundraising raffle and generous donations helped bring the patio and firepit project to life. Among the many contributors was Cashco, which donated material for the firepit covers. Tracy Fries, CNC Programmer at Cashco — and a member of the league — stepped up to handle the design and fabrication of the custom covers.
"When someone in our group asked Clint [Cashco President] about making the covers, he agreed. I volunteered to draw them up, and we cut them out on the waterjet," Fries shared. "I attached purchased handles and did some polishing at home to finish them up."
Fries said he feels a sense of satisfaction in contributing. "I'm just glad to have it finished and to have helped out."
With a refreshed gathering space, the golf course now offers an even better environment for camaraderie. From the planning group to local businesses like Cashco, and individuals like Tracy Fries who lent their time and skills, the project reflects what can happen when people come together with a shared vision.
